The Curse of the Contest

So a while ago ABE books was holding a Harry Potter poetry contest and you could win a bookshelf made out of Harry Potter books. So I wrote a poem and, of course, being myself, never sent it in. The deadline already passed but I figured I might as well post it here:

The Curse

With much brAVADo entered he who found
At Hollow’s plAce, a secret once unsaid
Until Rat spoKe betrayal good and sound
And thus ensurED his friends would soon be dead.
But once that dArk one sent them to the ground
He went to waVe his wand at Harry’s head
Thus quickly Realized he would not get far
Vanquished And leaving Harry just a scar.

So...anyone want to comment with Harry Potter poems of their own?

Fantastic! I think you would have won if you had sent it in.

I'm not creative (and/or bored) enough to come up with something like that, but it was entertaining to read.

Happy free Slurpee day!

Erachet! How could you not send that in??? It's a terrific poem! And besides, how could you relinquish the chance to win a bookshelf made of HP books! That sounds like the coolest thing ever!

Scraps - Ooh! Free Slurpies! Darn, I missed it. Oh well.

SJ - Isn't it unbelievable how I didn't send it in? If I was Dobby, I'd be hitting myself over the head with something and saying, "Bad Erachet! Bad Erachet!"

Basically...I delayed sending it in for so long that July 6th came and went and...yeah. And I know! I really wanted that bookshelf!
