Scraps - very true. But that is why I said sometimes. Sometimes, rules are just silly and they ask you to do pointless things just in order to create conformity. That's when I say, phooey!
Apple - Hee!
Arade89 - Fui in Latin is first person perfect tense of the verb "esse" which means "to be." So hmmm, any connections?
I was always under the impression that it came from the German pfui. Of course, saying it comes from Latin makes phooey sound so much more sophisticated.

Rules are good, but only to a point. =]
Phooey with all rules leads to things like Lord of the Flies. Or just general anarchy. I doubt that's what you're advocating.
Phooey. Phooey. What a weird word.
Phooey. I think I like how it looks more than it sounds.

Sorah - yes. :)

Oh, of course stupid rules designed merely to enforce conformity are contemptible. Feel free to say phooey to those!
